Se reflexiona sobre la validez del estilo como medio metodológico para el estudio del arte Paleolítico. La evolución y uso del concepto a lo largo del tiempo, y su utilidad en la investigación actual. La conclusión es que sólo se podrá realmente emprender el estudio del arte prehistórico si se integra también lo que es su objeto, la imagen. Y dicha imagen sólo encontrará su sentido cuando la investigación se vuelva a centrar en el estudio del estilo.Reflects on the validity of style as a methodological means for the study of Paleolithic art. The evolution and use of the concept over time, and its utility in current research. The conclusion is that only there can truly undertake the study of prehistoric art if it is also integrated whit what is its object, the image. And that image will only find its meaning when the research regain focus on the study of style.
