Descripción

During the last 10 years some archaeological researches have been done inside the territory of the National Park and its peripheral ring. Because of this research, more than 200 archaeological sites have been documented and 21 prehistorical radiocarbonical dates have been recorded, that suggests a continuous occupation between 7000 and 2200 cal BC. The archaeological dates show that populations and exploitations models in high mountain areas have been changing over time. An increase of human presence between 3500 and 2300 calBC has been detected as well. These could be related with a change on economical activities and settlement patterns in the landscape. An abandonament of caves and shelters has been detected around 2300 cal ANE.
