El habitus del hacendado

The objective of this article is the reconstruction of the way to act, to think and to feel of the landowners. Those actions are associated with their social position, that is to say, by their habitus. The intention of this article is to explain how to distinguish the landowners of the rest of the social actors and how they were seen or perceived by the others. Basically the article is concenrate in the final part of the xix century and first decades of the xx, its sources are the ranch’s books of correspondence along with literary materials, and for that reason the vision that predominate is that one that the landowners have about themselves.
