El cenizal celtibérico del yacimiento Saúco (Ubierna, Burgos): una interpretación arqueológica y paleoambiental/The celtiberian ashpit of Saúco site (Ubierna, Burgos, Spain): An archaeological and paleoenvironmental interpretation

The ashpits form an integral part of the landscape of the main hillforts of the Second Iron Age on celtiberian and veton areas, although its rapid formation presents some shades in his assignment from the urban reorganization. The results obtained from the archaeological excavation of the site Saúco (Ubierna, Burgos) are presented here, and the correspondence of other similar deposits of hillforts of Monasterio de Rodilla and Los Ausines, all are occupying small mountains where it open natural roads. New archaeological proposals could link its genesis with the celebration of local markets, thus forming powerful deposits that have interacted decisively in the historic landscape.
