El “análisis de los marcos” en el discurso de Bush (septiembre 11 de 2001)

El objetivo de este trabajo es el dedescribir y analizar el discurso empleadopor el presidente George Bushen la coyuntura del atentado terroristadel 11 de septiembre de 2001. Coneste propósito analizo las estrategiasdiscursivas empleadas por los principalesactores involucrados para justificaruna guerra contra sus adversarios.Como método, en el estudiode discurso, aplico el “análisis de losmarcos” (frame analysis); “enmarcar”(framing) significa seleccionardeterminados aspectos de la realidadpercibida en un texto, para con estepropósito promover una definición delprotagonista, del antagonista, del problemay recomendar alternativas parala solución del problema. -----The aim of this paper is to describeand analyze the discourse utilizedby President George Bush after theterrorist attacks on September 11,2001. I carried out the analysis ofthe discourse strategies used by themain actors involved in justifying ofthe war on their foes. As a methodfor analyzing the discourse I reliedon frame analysis. Framing involvesselecting certain aspects of the realityperceived into a text in order toendorse definitions of the protagonist,antagonist and the conflict and thento propose some alternatives for thesolution of said conflict.
