Efecto de la hormona ouabaina sobre las uniones comunicantes en células mamarias cancerosas y no cancerosas

Description of the effect of ouabain in cellular communication of mammary cancer. Two cell lines of normal and cancerous mammary epithelium weretreated with oubain 50nM; Observations suggest that oubain in this concentration can induce cellular communication via gap junctions in normal cells, meanwhile the same treatment shows no effect in cancer cells. Measurements of the ouabain sensibility of both cell lines demonstrated cancer cells are insensitive and normal cells have the common response previously known in our labs.
