Ecological Landscape Design and Public Perception

It is sensible to apply ecological knowledge and principles to create sustainable urban landscapes that consume fewer resources while supplementing valuable ecosystem services. In this article, we look at some basics of ecological landscape design, and discuss how public perception can affect the implementation of landscapes that are more ecologically valuable. We also share a few key findings from a survey done recently on public perception of naturalistic landscapes.
