Descripción

As part of a study of representations of teachers and school counseling, communication approaches the critical decision to abandon the educational process or proceed to university study, seeking their sociological correlations.Spain has the highest percentage of the EU in early school leaving (18-24 years who have no post-compulsory secondary degree or enrolled), but its proportion of university population is above average and has already achieved the objectives of the Union for 2020.The Communication contains a number of socio indicators and track the relationships between school leavers and university population and other variables.First, the educational neglect to social inequality and the expectation of schooling. In the absence of official data on some variables, communication also considers the relative poverty and enrollment rates at certain ages. These variables can be seen a rough correlation of 0.7.Moreover, it is about the relationship between lifelong learning and educational excellence (seen from the relationship between performance and public investment) from the statistics available at the level of autonomous community. In this case the correlations between average wages and population percentages for certain educational levels correlations reached 0.7-0.8.The paper also examines the adequacy rates by autonomous community and family expectations.
