Descripción de una nueva especie de bagre anoftalmo del género Trichomycterus (Siluriformes, Trichomycteridae), de una cueva de la Sierra de Perijá, Venezuela

Trichomycterus spelaeus, new species catfish is described coming from Punto Fijo Cave, located in the Guasare river basin, Sierra de Perijá, northwestern of Venezuela. The new species presents as distinctive character that distinguish it of all the known species of the genus Trichomycterus, the absence of eyes. A comparative analysis with the species indicated for the Lago de Maracaibo basin and north of Colombia is included.
