Desarrollo humano, bienestar subjetivo y democracia: confirmaciones, sorpresas e interrogantes / Human Development, Subjective Well-Being and Democracy: Confirmations, Surprises and Questions

Resumen: Este trabajo analiza la relacion entre el bienestar y la valoracion de la democra cia a nivel mundial, destacando la importancia tanto de la dimension objetiva como de la subje tiva del bienestar. Como resultado del andlisis, se sostiene que la valoracion ciudadana de la democracia sera mayor en aquellos paises donde la diferencia entre el desarrollo humano y el bienestar subjetivo sea menor; es decir, donde las condiciones "objetivas" no resulten muy alejadas del grado de satisfaccion con la vida y de felicidad de los ciudadanos.
