DATOS PARA LA DEFDINICIÓN DE LA EDAD DEL HIERRO EN EL ÁMBITO CARPETANO: EL YACIMIENTO DE ARROYO CULEBRO

El trabajo da a conocer un yacimiento de la Edad del Hierro localizado en el entorno del Arroyo Culebro. Los datos que aporta nlarcan una nueva estrategia de poblamiento frente a las pautas del la Edad del Bronce'pero evidencia una continuidad en la arquitectura dom6stica efmera. Por primera vez se documenta en la Meseta Sur la inhumaci6n de un neonato en el espacio dom6stic0, donde se habian practicado todos 10s enterramientos en 6pocas previas. Los materiales c e M c o s recuperados en este sitio son un buen exponente de la confluencia de tradicio-nes y de contaaos e influencias que se producen en esta zona central de la Peninsula y de fhcil comunicaci6n y permiten definir la personalidad del hrea carpetana en relaci6n con 10s pueblos lii'trofes. Abstract The paper is an approach of an Iron Age site located in the surroundings of the Culebm stream. The data indicates a new settlement strategy in contrary to the guidelines observed for the Bronze Age, but still shows a continuity of the ephemeral domestic architecture. It is documented for the fmt time in the South Meseta, the inhu-mation of a newborn in the domestic area where it would have been practiced all the burials in previous periods. The ceramic materials recovered in thii site are a good exponent of the traditions and contacts confluen-ces, and also of the influences in this area of the central Peninsula of easy communication that allows to define the personality of the Carpetan area with regard to the neighbouring cultures.
