The paülujutu'u or closure is a rite of passage of Wayuu indigenous people, which traditionally the girls must do in order to become a majayülus or ladies. In this paper, we make visible the importance of confinement as a practice that allows the transmission of ancestral knowledge constructed from, for and by indigenous womens, while is reviewed the imprint of relations mothers-daughters and the knowledge that we herited.
