Conquista espiritual, evangelización y destrucción de divinidades en Chiquitos (Siglos XVI-XVIII)

La historiografía oficial y tradicional, durante mucho tiempo, ha invisibilizado la memoria histórica de las naciones y pueblos originarios de Bolivia; esto, producto de la evangelización, el mestizaje y mentalidad colonial al que han sometido a estos grupos, haciéndoles olvidar gran parte de su pasado prehispánico. En este ensayo se pretende conocer la historia inicial de los chiquitos y cómo se desarrolló el proceso de conquista espiritual, evangelización y destrucción de las divinidades chiquitas entre los siglos XVI-XVIII, el cual fue llevado a cabo por la Compañía de Jesús entre los miembros de este grupo humano, ubicado en las tierras bajas de nuestro país. In this research it is to know the early history of Chiquitos and development process of spiritual conquest, evangelization and destruction of chiquitas divinities between sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, which was conducted by the Jesuits among members of this human group, located in the lowlands of our country.
