Conexiones universidad - territorio en la escena latinoamericana: un acercamiento desde el caso colombiano

The study reveals some patterns and spatial trends in the sys-tem of higher education in Colombia, examined at two scales:urban-regional-national metropolitan. The study of supply,demand, capacity and products that deliver the universities,allowed warn urban disparities and regional imbalances ob-served mainly among public universities within the Colom-bian higher education system. Methodologically, was usedquantitative analysis and locational data from the SNIES, toidentify types of location / distribution and examine aspectsof behavior and socio-spatial relevance of higher education in the country
