Resumen Las transformaciones neoliberales de las últimas décadas han mellado diversas áreas de vida de la población mexicana. En el plano laboral, el incremento de la informalidad es un rasgo que afecta a más de la mitad del empleo. Puebla no es la excepción pues se encuentra entre las primeras entidades con informalidad laboral. En esta ponencia, se indagan ciertas transformaciones estructurales que antecedieron al incremento de los trabajos informales en Puebla. Se exploran algunos elementos para explicar cómo se han producido condiciones precarias de existencia en las que sobreviven sectores sobrantes de la población, teniendo por resultado vidas precarizadas. precariedad, precarización de la vida, economía política, poblaciones sobrantes, neoliberalismo, informalidad laboral. Abstract The neoliberal transformations in the last few decades have damaged diverse spheres of living of mexican population. In labour, increasing informality is affecting more than half of total employments. Puebla is not an exception, because it is amongst one of the first states with labor informality. In this paper we investigate some structural changes that preceded the increase of informal jobs in Puebla. We explore some elements that explain how these precarious living conditions were produced, in which the surplus populations survive, that in turn become precarious lives.
