CNDH - Diagnostico sobre la Situacion de la Trata de Personas [Emilio Maus]

This report, published by the National Comission of Human Rights (CNDH, Mexico, 2013) describes the situation of human trafficking in Mexico, addressing different issues: Victims, vulnerable groups (indigenous people, children, migrants, vulnerabilities based on gender, persons with disabilities), traffickers, main routes for trafficking, impunity, corruption of public officers, the role of internet, the role of demand which fosters all kinds of exploitation, legal framework, recruitment methods, forms of exploitation, government response against trafficking (prevention, prosecution, victims´ assistance), main challenges faced by the Mexican government in combatting trafficking in persons, etc.
