Administrative Experience

Director of the La Selva Research Station, OTS, coordination of multiple research, education and visitor-services programs, including volunteers, outreach, public relations, fundraising, commercial operations and communications. Supervision of large staff (85 to 100 people) and $4.5 million yearly budget.
Chief Officer and Program Director for the Catalina Island Conservancy, a 44,000-acre island preserve in California. Includes institutional visioning and leadership, design and management, planning, supervision, management of multi-million dollar programs, grants and special funds in endangered and endemic plant and animal species management, environmental restoration, facilities development, exhibit design and implementation, public and school programs, scientific research, conservation area planning, and organizational strengthening.
Program Director for The Nature Conservancy at the Disney Wilderness Preserve, in Florida. Included program leadership, planning, budgeting, management of multi-million dollar wetland and upland restoration programs, research, stewardship, education and volunteer programs, organizational strengthening, and conservation planning.
Coordinator (Director-level position) of Education Programs for the Department of Environmental Management of Pinellas County, Florida.
