Cadalso de los Vidrios medieval heritage enhancing purpose: more than an interpretation centre.

For a long time we have been witnesses of how both universities and different archaeological research groups have left, in many occasions, diffusion as a secondary issue in the research progress. From this article we intend to attract reader’s attention proposing a method for heritage enhancing. For that reason, we intend to create an interpretation centre which, following the values of sustainability and the new rhetoric for heritage, provides a solution to both the lack of diffusion of research results and new touristic demand created in Cadalso de los Vidrios (Madrid) village. Thus, we could make heritage accessible and understandable to a major number of people so that through its appreciation and enhancement we also contribute to its protection. At the same time, we will find out more about the rich medieval historic heritage that can be found in the village, referring to, both the distinguished figures that lived there and the monuments and archaeological sites of medieval times. Likewise, it is our aim to bring readers closer to some of the mot characteristic aspects of its ethnographic heritage that makes this village a singular place to discover.
