Traducido del alemán por Mariela Vargas (Technische Universität Berlin) Los ensayos Pequeña historia de la fotografía y La obra de arte en la época de su reproductibilidad técnica son el eje de este estudio que busca discutir la teoría de los medios de Walter Benjamin en los términos de una interacción entre téchne y aisthesis: el nacimiento de la teoría de la fotografía a partir del detalle, la introducción del inconsciente óptico, la temporalización del detalle en el concepto de shock durante el paso de la fotografía al cine y la transformación de estas reflexiones sobre una teoría de los medios en un dispositivo epistemológico e histórico-cultural. DETAIL, PHOTOGRAPHIC AND CINEMATOGRAPHIC IMAGES. ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HISTORY OF MEDIA FOR WALTER BENJAMIN‘S CULTURE THEORY. The essays Little History of Photography and The Work of Art in the Age of its Technological Reproductibility are the focus of this study that intends to discuss Walter Benjamin’s theory of media in the terms of an interacction between techne and asitehesis: the rise of the theory of photography from the detail, the introduction of the optical unconscious, the temporalization of thedetail in the concept of shock during the transition from photography to film and , finally, the transformation of these reflections on a theory of media into an epistemological and historical-cultural device.
