LA VIDA EN JUEGO: ESTÉTICA E HISTORIA EN WALTER BENJAMIN El presente trabajo trata de abordar el concepto de lectura desarrollado por Benjamin en su particular aplicación a las cosas y el significado que esta lectura tiene para la tarea del historiador. Aquí se tratará de investigar el modo de operar de Benjamin sobre las cosas desde los conceptos de “traducción” y desde lo que él llamó “la facultad mimética”. En la intersección de ambos conceptos aplicados a las cosas como documentos históricos, trataremos de entender el sesgo revolucionario del trabajo de Benjamin.  LIFE ON GAME: AESTHETICS AND HISTORY IN WALTER BENJAMIN.This paper tries to approach the concept of reading developed by Benjamin in its particular application to things and the meaning that this reading has for the historian's task. Here we attempt to investigate the modus operandi of Benjamin on things from the concepts of “translation” and from what he called “the mimetic faculty”. At the intersection of both concepts applied to things as historical documents, we will try to understand the revolutionary bias of Benjamin's work.
