Bioactive Fungal Endoperoxides

The present review describes research on rare endoperoxides isolated fromterrestrial and marine fungi, lichenized fungi and fungal endophytes. Morethan thirty fungal metabolites have been confirmed to exhibit antimicrobial,antibacterial, and anticancer activities, as well as other activities. A wide spectrumof pharmacological activities is associated with this type of fungal metabolites,which is also true for selected synthetic derivatives.
