Since 2012, we have carried out several research projects focused on the study and comprehensive documentation of 20 rock artsites from the municipalities of Albarracín, Bezas and Tormón, all of them included in the World Heritage List, as well as the 16other ones recently discovered, gathering over 275 pictures altogether. From the stylistic study of the sites on (once documentedin a geometric and photographic way and after making new digital tracings) we have verified a large series of characteristicsrelating to the thematic, chromatic, stylistic and geographic distribution of the shelters and the motifs shown on them, too. Thesefeatures point to the rock art nucleus of the Mountain Range of Albarracín could be considered as a space with a singular considerationand, from a wider point of view, the necessity of providing a redefinition for the Levantine rock art term itself.
