New technologies development on providing evidence for the Cultural Heritage leeds to the necessity of a combination ofdiffetent methods and techniques for the research and the diffusion of the results. However, the fast technological development,in addition to social immediacy, goes so quickly that it is impossible to establish a logic process in the group of methods andtechniques that are necessary in every research project. This paper tries to establish a brief reflection on the state of the art,by highlighting any current difficulties about the representation of the cultural heritage in general and rock art in particular.Starting points are provided for each one of those aspects in order to contribute to establish a correct development on creation,innovation, culture and education processes. With all, we would like to highlight the need of trying to reach a global consensusabout the creation and use of a protocol on providing evidence for the cultural heritage.
