Asimilación de hijos de \"cerebros fugados\": Un estudio exploratorio Assimilation of \"Brain Drain\" children: An exploratory study

Little attention has been paid to the effects of being the child of a "brain drain" immigrant. Using data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth (NLSY) and a multiple regression model, the role that the status of child of a "brain drain" immigrant plays on the level of structural assimilation of said children was examined. The results show that being a child of a "brain drain" immigrant has a significant positive effect on structural assimilation, net of control factors including father's occupation in the receiving country.
