The archaeological intervention was carried out in the context of the «Project to improve the route andextension of the A-3212 road platform» and included prior prospecting and sondages, the excavation of the areas affected by the works, verification sondages in other areas of the site and the archaeological monitoring of the works themselves within the protected area.These activities enabled us to document a broad sequence of occupation, ranging from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages. The oldest remains pertained to two silos dating from the first quarter of the fourth millennium BC. During the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age a large fortified settlement was built with numerous domestic structures. During the Roman era, the abandoned settlement was turned into a large agriculturalterrace associated with a rural village located on the flat plain to the north of the hill. Finally, during the Middle Ages, a small defensive watchtower was built at the summit of the hill
