Agroturismo y Desarrollo Rural: Situacion Actual, Potencial y Estrategias en Zonas De Montaña Del Sureste Español

SUMMARY After some conceptual comments regarding agrotourism within the more general context of rural tourism, the main results of studies analysing the situation and perspectives of the agrotourism activity performed in the penibetic rural areas have been comented. Theese results are mainly obtainded from two surveys, to both visitors and farmers, made at the mountainous area of the Eastern Alpujarra. From the analysis some major problems for developing agrotourism activities in the area have been identified and comented, and then some conclusions have, finally, been drawn, pointing-out strategic actions to overcome the mentioned problems.
