Diagram creation often takes times and requires softwares that are not alway accesible. ACACIA has been created on Excel and allows the creation of a diagram in a few seconds !
The first and only operation to do before creating the diagram : Generate a classic data table with the taxa, their effective, the chronology, etc. As many taxa and as many chronological periods can be add Select the data table. Clic on the command Calcul %
The inset NbreEntete appears to ask how many column headers the data table contains
With simple commands, ACACIA computes automatically percentages and the confidence interval (5%)
Then, the command Lancer Diag generates the charcoal diagram.
The final diagram is available on BMP and PDF files The PDF is easily modifiable on Illustrator ACACIA will be soon available on a website with an instruction manual (dendrac.mnhn.fr)

The Option Tab allows the height, colours or font of the diagram to be adjusted. An explanatory tab is viewable, which explain each options.
The height, width and length of the bars can be adjusted It is possible to choose the colour for the bars and the percentage
Confidence Intervals can be put on or off as desired The legend can be translated between French and English The position of the taxa can be switch vertically and rotated till 45°
