2016 El nexo saber-poder en las reconfiguraciones de un margen en proceso de integración Una mirada desde el Norte La Paz (Bolivia)

Northern La Paz lies in the Amazonian part of La Paz department. Historically, it is situated at themargins of Bolivian territory. Beginning in the 70s, the integration of this region with the rest ofthe national territory and global space accelerated. In this article, the author proposes to analyzethe different stages of integration by the social actors, assessing their resilience as reflexted in theirterritorial capacity —that is to say their ability to control their territory. Two parameters determinethat capacity: access to resources and access to information. Thus, knowledge (made up of all theinformation received by the actor) strengthens power (which results in a territorial capacity). Moreover,we will demonstrate that if power is reinforced through knowledge, it also allows to the creation ofnew knowledge.
