UNA PIEDRA EN EL CAMINO: POSIBLES LECTURAS JUDÍAS DE MT 16,18

Resumen Mt 16,18 ha sido objeto de innumerables estudios, usualmente de corte dogmático, estructural o apologético. La propuesta del autor incide en la posibilidad de otras lecturas de dicha afirmación de Jesús desde los comentarios del judaísmo del primer siglo y sus desarrollos ulteriores. Se realiza un especial hincapié en la literatura tannaítica midrásica, y en sus precedentes targúmicos, para captar el tejido teológico de aquel momento. Tal enfoque proporcionará mayor claridad de la imagen de Jesús como Cristo en las comunidades judeocristianas. El artículo, a su vez, reivindica el empleo de materiales haggádicos para una mejor comprensión de la realidad neotestamentaria y, especialmente, de la Cristología. Abstract Mt 16,18 have been object of countless studies, usually of dogmatic, structural or apologetic type. The author's proposal impacts in the possibility of other readings of this statement of Jesus from the comments of the Judaism of the first century and its ulterior developments. He is carried out a special stress in the midrasic literature, and in its targumic precedent, to capture the theological fabric of that moment. Such a focus will provide bigger clarity of Jesus' image like Christ in the judaic-christian communities. The paper, in turn, claims the employment of haggadic material for a better understanding of the reality of the New Testament and, especially, of the Christology.
