Pequeño altar votivo de un soldado de la Legio VII Gemina descubierto en Mérida

Se da a conocer un árula de mármol de finales del siglo II d.C. que menciona el votum dirigido a L(iber) A(ugustus) por un soldado de la legio VII Gemina, como hipótesis más factible, dado que la divinidad a la que va destinada la ofrenda se ha grabado en su forma más abreviada. Estaríamos, pues, ante un nuevo ejemplo epigráfico de culto a una " divinidad augusta " , el tercero de los documentados hasta la fecha en Mérida. In this article we publish a small marble altar dating to the late second century A.D., which mentions a vow (votum) offered to L(iber) A(ugustus) by a soldier of the Legio VII Gemina, as the most feasible hypothesis given that the name of the divinity to which the offering was made was inscribed in its most abbreviated form. It provides yet another epigraphic example of cult to an " august divinity " , the third such document so far attested at Mérida.
