Ovidio y la compilación de la \"General estoria\" (siglo XIII)

In the Alfonsine historiography study, three analytic axes turn out to be fundamental: the textual transmission of the works, the study and identification of the sources and the description of the compiling method. The specialists who have worked on the Estoria de España and on the General estoria have obtained their results by combining these three approaches. The Estoria de España had been studied previously; thus, the conclusions can be put to the test on the General estoria. Solalinde carried out the study of the General estoria I and II in the 1930’s in order to make a critic edition of them. His methods were used and expanded by Diego Catalán and then by Inés Fernández-Ordóñez. In this synthetic work, the general conclusions of these critics are compared with the ones I drew from the study of Ovid in the Castilian text. The previous theories are confirmed and enriched by the examples I have studied.
