LOST HIGHWAY Y MULHOLLAND DRIVE DE DAVID LYNCH. UNA APROXIMACIÓN PSICOANALÍTICO-COMPARATIVA

Resumen El artículo propone una lectura comparativo-psicoanalítica de los filmes Lost Highway y Mulholland Dr. del realizador norteamericano David Lynch. El análisis comparado asocia personajes y situaciones con el fin de evidenciar puntos de confluencia en la representación de ciertas concepciones temáticas y ciertas obsesiones particulares del universo narrativo-visual de Lynch, mientras que la hermenéutica psicoanalítica funciona como herramienta para la interpretación. El estudio intenta profundizar en la representación que ambos filmes hacen de la realidad y del sujeto, puesto que el mundo representado se corresponde con la visión de unas mentes que se están extraviando en un delirio psicótico. Asimismo, la exploración de ambos textos pone especial énfasis en la construcción de lo femenino y lo masculino, o más exactamente en la crisis por la que pasan estos dos conceptos, a través de sus personajes principales: Fred Madison y Diane Selwyn, respectivamente. Abstract The article proposes a comparative and psychoanalytical reading to Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr., both films by North American movies Director David Lynch. The comparative analysis links characters and situations pointing to the confluence in the representation of certain topics and obsessions that have become key characteristics in the visual-narrative of Lynch's universe, while the psychoanalytic hermeneutic serves as a tool for the interpretation. The study delves deeper into the representation of reality and the subject made by both films, as the world depicted corresponds to the vision of two minds that go astray into a psychotic delirium. Furthermore, both texts emphasizes particularly on the construction of the feminine and the masculine, considering the crisis of these concepts through the main characters: Fred Madison and Diane Selwyn.
