The Puerto Rican Ornithological Society (SOPI) conducted a migratory bird workshop theory and field. This article focuses on the field aspect of the workshop that was conducted at the Parguera Segment of Boquerón State Forest (Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, Segmento de la Parguera).  This segment is mainly composed of fringe mangroves.  About 20 species were identified in half an acre of mangrove.  If extrapolated thousand of migratory warblers use the Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, Parguera Segment.
