FAZENDA / TREASURE III  International Seminar, 19-20 July 2016"Economic policy and controversies in the Diaspora and overseas European Expansion" is the topic chosen for FAZENDA/ TREASURE III International Seminar, a cross-cutting subject related to different times and regions and with strong connections to modern-day issues. The topic, as expected, enhances the internationalisation of this initiative, visible in the entities that joined CHUL and FLUL in a partnership. It has also attracted researchers from different areas of specialisation, some of whom with a wide interdisciplinary experience and not only in the field of Humanities but also in that of Social Sciences. That is why the constitution of the scientific committee has also had a multidisciplinary approach (from the sphere of economics and demographics to sociology, religion, politics and the sphere of mentalities), and the same applies to the group of speakers already gathered for this event. The presentations shall address the following questions:1-Controversies on good practices and suggestions for State reform 2-Between the public and the private, interests, clandestine practices, frauds, sanctions 3-Dynamics and social networks versus institutional tension4-Maleability of the system – adaptationsWe hope this will be a dynamic event with a fruitful exchange of knowledge, discussion of methodologies and conceptual uses, a state of the art of thematic contents.
