De la cabaña rústica al templo barroco: los jesuitas y las artes en La Orotava (II)

Resumen La segunda parte de este trabajo analiza los planes arquitectónicos ideados para la iglesia del colegio jesuita de San Luis Gonzaga, fundado en La Orotava a finales del siglo xvii. Asimismo estudia el ideario asociado a las artes desarrolladas por la Compañía de Jesús en dicho edificio y su posible autoría. Abstract «From the rustic cabin to the baroque temple: the Jesuits and the arts in La Orotava (ii)» analyzes the architectural plans designed for the church of San Luis Gonzaga Jesuit college, founded in La Orotava in the late seventeenth century. It also examines the iconographic program associated with the arts developed by the Society of Jesus in the building and its possible authorship.
