ARQUITETURA RESIDENCIAL DOS IMIGRANTES JAPONESES NO VALE DO RIBEIRA

The research aim is to identify, investigate, and study the Japanese immigration architecture in the Vale do Ribeira in the first half of the twentieth century, focusing on rural residential buildings listed by IPHAN in March 2008, in particular the Hokugawa residence, to identify the presence of construction details from traditional Japanese architecture, the influence of the Brazilian rural architecture and the possible adjustments to local conditions.
