El presente artículo pretende proporcionar una aproximación a la fotografía de patrimonio a través de la novedosa estructura archivística implantada por Adolf Mas Ginestà. Éste último, en calidad de fundador del conocido Arxiu Mas, fue un referente en el sector de la fotografía de obras de arte español, abriendo las puertas de su archivo a investigadores nacionales e internacionales. Sus fotografías han ilustrado revistas especializadas y publicaciones científicas españolas y norteamericanas de gran prestigio, siguiendo y actualizando los patrones marcados por otras importantes empresas como Alinari, Laurent, Sommer o Brogi. A partir de la consolidación del género fotográfico de vistas y monumentos se abren nuevas vías para la contemplación y el estudio de los bienes artísticos, llegando a la abertura de ateliers fotográficos especializados. Entre aquellos que abren sus puertas a principios del XX se sitúa, en un lugar privilegiado, el Arxiu Mas de Barcelona,objeto de estudio de mi tesis doctoral.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This communication aims to approximate at photography of heritage through newarchival structure implemented by Adolf Mas Ginestà. The latter, founder of ArxiuMas, leader in the photography of Spanish art, opened the doors of his archive tonational and international researchers. His photographs have illustrated Spanish andAmerican journals and prestigious scientific publications, updating those standards set by other important companies such as Alinari, Laurent, Sommer and Brogi. From the consolidation of this kind of photographic, are open new studies of artistic goods,leading to the introduction of specialist ateliers. Among those who open its doorsin the earliest twenty we found the Arxiu Mas of Barcelona, which is under study inmy PhD dissertation.
